4K DP Extender, EVBPR-M2210, consists of a Transmitter and a Receiver unit that allows you to extend DisplayPort Video/ Audio/ IR/ RS-232 signals over Cat6 Cabling. It transmits 1080P DisplayPort video up to 100 meters (328 ft) and 4K DisplayPort video up to 90 meters (295 ft) through a single Cat6 cable. 4K DP Extender supports most popular signal resolutions up to 4K 60Hz at (4:2:0) color sampling and is ideal for the most demanding applications.

EVBPR-M2210, 4K DP Extender, provides bi-directional IR / RS-232 extension capability through a single Cat. 6 cable up to 100 meters at 1080p (or 90 meters at the resolution of 4K) in a point-to-point configuration, and supports HDCP 1.4 and HDBaseT 2.0. The built-in Auto EDID Configuration ensures the optimized video output without flickering or black screen compatibility issues.

Bi-directional audio extension function is activated and can independently transmit 2-way audio signal from the 4K DP Extender Transmitter unit to the DisplayPort Extender Receiver unit, and vice versa. 2-way audio communication provides the second audio transmission channel that would be beneficial for the content creator in video postproduction or audio broadcasting with the installation of home cinema amplifier.

To provide an optical digital audio transmission solution, Rextron Video Extender is equipped with novel Toslink optical fiber connector used for sending a digital audio stream from the input of the Transmitter unit to the output of the Receiver unit. Toslink digital optical audio extension prevents the audio stream delivery from electric and magnetic interference and such optic connector supports most of the commonly seen studio audio equipments such as video game console, Blu-ray disk player, and AV receiver.

The bi-directional IR extension function supports full frequency IR signal range from 38KHz up to 56KHz. Furthermore, the distance between the emitter head and the IR port on the unit may be extended to provide users a flexible and easy way in IR control system installation (maximum 3 meters IR cable can be purchased separately).

Full-duplex data communication between Tx and Rx via CAT.x cable connection is the cost effective, hardware-based solution, providing remote access and control for all RS-232 protocol devices without any setup or configuration. RS-232 serial extension is suitable to be applied in digital signage, industrial or commercial office, smart classroom, and Smart Home system.

Rextron Video Extender Power over HDBaseT ( PoH ) enables the transfer of DC power over a single Ethernet cable to a distance of up to 100 meters. Thus, single power supply at either end of the extender units, the PoH function is especially useful in the condition where there’s no available power socket at certain side. The PoH standard is based on the IEEE 802.3at standard and includes definitions of the power source equipment ( PSE ) and the powered device ( PD ) describing the detection and protection mechanisms to ensure safe and reliable power delivery.
